Our resolutions to stay fit

Right about January 1/2, we all so flush with ideas, thoughts and resolutions on how we going to make positive changes in our lives.  Then February rolls around and unfortunately, we either haven’t started any of them, maybe stopped/started a few, but nevertheless, these resolutions fall by the wayside.  Time.com listed out the most commonly broken New Year’s resolutions.  And, without further adieu, here they are (drumroll, please):

1. Lose Weight and Get Fit

2. Quit Smoking

3. Learn Something New

4. Eat Healthier and Diet

5. Get out of Deb  and Save Money

6. Spend More Time with Family

7.  Travel to New Places

8. Be Less Stressed

9. Volunteer

10. Drink Less

Let’s focus on the first resolution today from Time.com.  All short and easy reads, but let’s get started somewhere:

Lose Weight and Get Fit

It’s one of the most common New Year’s resolutions. After a season of way too many cookies, candies and holiday parties, it’s only natural that a vow to lose weight and get fit would follow. Each January, fitness clubs offer deals and promotions to those who want to make good on their resolutions. To those who have been at the gym for the other 11 months of the year, the crowded classes and treadmill lines make the new year a dreaded time. Luckily for gym rats, research says that 60% of gym memberships go unused and attendance is usually back to normal by mid-February. Why is that? Simple: people are lazy.
