Being in the moment
‘Being in the here and now’
‘Not worrying about the past of the present’
‘Letting go’
‘Listen to your gut and your heart’
‘Train your mind to focus’
These are all tidbits we hear or read about to help us be in the moment. I recently read I article about Meditation which is short and to the point.
Here it is from Ladies Who Launch – Victoria’s tip:
Why Letting Go is a ?Go?
Recently I was in San Francisco staying at the W hotel; in the room was a miniature Buddha statue containing these words engraved in it: ?The Greatest Meditation is a Mind that Lets Go.?
It?s true that ?letting go? is one of the most liberating mental experiences.
Here?s why: The process of ?letting go? brings us into the present moment, confirming that there is nothing we actually need to get and nowhere we actually need to go beyond the ?now?. Taking this theory one step further, ?letting go? is the single biggest step we can take in our businesses and our lives to enhance our chances of success. When we are too attached to outcomes, we risk making decisions based on emotion, rather than sound business strategy, or what makes ?perfect? sense in the moment. The problem is that the very process of ?letting go? implies attachment to begin with and the more we are attached to ?letting go,? the more we jeopardize getting there. Hence, the dilemma.
Here?s the trick: If you have a clear mind, meaning one that is not being influenced by events and emotions of the past, ?letting go? happens naturally; in fact, with a mind that?s clear, we automatically trust and invest in our ability to live in the present and increase the odds that we will make decisions that are right for us. This is why I strongly recommend meditation as what I have found to be the easiest and fastest way to clear the mind, especially when aided by proven meditation programs. Before investing in a mediation program, learn more about this one, which I have found to be effective in moving my own life forward. In any case, whether you self-teach or invest in a guided program, I highly recommend integrating consistent meditation into your life.
