Working out – every little bit counts

We can all set really big goals – a marathon, a 10k, “get in shape”, etc, and settings goals is key.  But never underestimate all the little efforts that really do count!

Here are a few things that we can do to get a little more workout from your day to day routines:

-Walk in to get your morning coffee – not going through the drive-thru is not only better for your body but better for the environment.
-Park farther from work, the bank or grocery store.  Just a little walk in the sun gives you endorphins that cause you to be happier and the ever important daily dose of Vitamin D.
-Take the stairs at work instead of the elevator.-Cleaning counts.  Recent studies have found that if you tell yourself, while cleaning, that you are in fact, working your body, you are reaping the benefits of a workout.  So window washing, mopping, here I come!
